Welcome to the AK Wombacher

The laboratory "Chemical Biology" under the guidance of Dr. Richard Wombacher is part of the Institute of Pharmacy and Moleclar Biotechnology (IPMB) at the Ruprecht-Karls University in Heidelberg (Heidelberg University). The research is focused on the development of chemical tools to study biological processes. This approach is multidisciplinary, utilizing organic chemistry synthesis and molecular biology technologies. Current projects explore the application of “chemical tags” in fluorescence labeling and super-resolution microscopy, the development of small peptide tags and chemical tools for protein regulation.
